The art of bookbinding is inextricably linked with the activities of the city’s printing houses. When passers-by stop at 39 Dluga Street in Bydgoszcz, curious about the unusual display window, which presents, among other things, an antique bookbinding press or a book-cutting guillotine, they do not yet know how unique the interiors of the bindery are!Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Witold Bełza, the bindery at the City Library officially began operations in 1923! In just a few years, the workshop was equipped with the necessary tools and machinery, making it entirely self-sufficient!
